MYC Team head to Champions League final
Good luck to the MYC team of Commodore Tanya Kelly (helm), Eamon Kriz (main / tactics), Jordan Spencer (boat captain) and Lori Tyrrell (bow) who will be competing against eight other teams in the final of the SAILING Champions League – Asia Pacific from Friday (9th) to Sunday (11th) at Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club.
“We haven’t raced on the boats and we are unfamiliar with the format,” Tanya says. “We have done a little bit of training and are still taking it pretty seriously. It’s a big learning curve ahead for the team I think.
“The format is lots and lots of short races, some upwind, some downwind starts, rapid changeovers and on water umpires – so will be heaps of fun.”
