Battle of Bubbles kicks off Women’s Regatta

Team Orange skippered by MYC Commodore Tanya Kelly (left) took out today’s practice race ‘Battle for the Bubbles’.

The first day of the Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta 3-day event included training sessions in the morning so the teams from Brisbane and Tweed Heads could get acquainted with the tricky Mooloolah River course.

This afternoon saw five short ’social’ races. First was Team Orange; 2nd to Team Social Distancing and 3rd to Team Tweed.

The serious racing starts tomorrow from 9.30am in front of The Wharf Mooloolaba.
