Women’s Helm Race Report

We had a great first race in the Women’s Helm Series today.

Weather was just beautiful! Big swell, lumpy sea and breeze up to 20knots at times made helming quite challenging, Course was out to the Gneerings, down to Mooloolaba Waverider and home. 5 boats entered: Bare Necessities, Birdie, Blew Bayou, Boudicea and Ocean Warrior with Ovation coming along for the ride.

Congratulations @Fiona Bengtsson and shared helms and crew for taking out 1st place.  There really wasn’t much in it from 1st to 5th place. A big thank you to our crews for supporting this race and especially our wonderful boat owners. A huge thank you!! Plenty of stories and a nice drink back at the clubroom to finish off a great day.
