It’s been a hectic week.

Friday was the first of the Rum Runners with the teams registering early and no vacancies for the late comers. The wind held for the afternoon and by the laughter and noise on the dock, a good time was held by all. The RR is on again Friday so if you are free, come on down for a fun filled afternoon. Lesson learnt last Friday. Sail the course as drawn on the notice board!!!

Wednesday’s fun sail saw 7 boats out. What started as a slow race finished up with a 9 knot breeze to get everybody home. On the last leg, Crackajack and Shiraz were passed by Roger with Shiraz picking up the buoy. Thank you very much. Up the front was Witchy Woman, Margarita Pearl, China Blue and Mystique 1. A warm welcome to Mystique 1 for joining the fleet.

Sunday was the first race of the Blue Water Series with a fleet of 5 boats lining up for the start. The race was the Fairway Challenge of Gneerings, Coolum Waverider, Caloundra Fairway, Gneerings and home. In the light airs at the start the monohulls edged their way clear to be well in front at the Gneerings. RR pulled out near the Gneerings and Murphy stepped in and the breeze filled. Away went Sea Bass, Tanu, Margarita Pearl and Escape. The breeze died again at the finish with the boats arriving at the time limit of the race. Well done everybody.

See you on the water Wednesday.
