MYCQ Race, Cruise, Drive or Paddle, but don’t miss it

MYCQ are heading to Mooloolaba Yacht Club on the weekend of October 29 & 30.
“This is a popular event as it provides both the racers and the cruisers an opportunity to experience “blue water” sailing. Dinner at the Wharf Tavern on Saturday night is always fun with great food and company.
RACERS
For the racers, the challenge is to maintain high averages for an extended period and test your tactical skills. Both races, to Mooloolaba and return, are Category 3 races, and given reasonable weather, this should not preclude trailables. Sailing instructions will be available on the website soon.
CRUISERS
All of our cruising fleet are more than capable of sailing or motorsailing to Mooloolaba easily during daylight hours. However, if the cruisers wish to make an early start on Friday, then that is an option. Any cruiser intending to leave Friday should contact me and I will co-ordinate a rendezvous for Friday night.
MOORING
The options are to book a berth at either the Wharf Marina or the Mooloolaba Marina, or, to anchor in “the pond”.
SUPPORTERS
Several of our support crews are driving up on Saturday to join the social activities. I would love to book out the entire room for dinner at the Wharf Tavern on Saturday night.
This is our last ocean race of the year, so let it be a great event. SO COME JOIN THE PARTY!!”
