Xmas Boat Parade biggest and best yet

img_430mycs-xmas-boat-parade-credit-jason-hay-4-800x373The MYC’s 2016 Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade was the biggest yet in the event’s 13 year history.

Over 50 boats and 10 houses registered for the Best Dressed competitions. Every bit of foreshore between The Wharf, Kawana canal and La Balsa Park was filled to capacity with spectators. The weather held, the Christmas songs and cheer rung out across the canals and the sponsors declared the event brilliant.

All funds raised from the boat and entry fees, plus raffles and sponsorship has been donated to the charity of choice, STEPS Charity.

The top three in the Best Dressed Boat competition were –
1.      # 41, Banshee, Pat Evans
2.      #26, Escape, Mal Trotter
3.      #10, Promise, Shane Gibbs

Best Christmas Lights Display – Cypress Crt Minyama – Greg & Janelle Davies
Best Christmas Theme – Myoora Crt Minyama, Jackie Doig.
