Volunteering

Our volunteers are an integral part of our Club. Without volunteers, there simply would be no Club. We rely on volunteers to fulfill critical roles in every aspect of the Club’s operations.

We are very fortunate that we have a core group of members who always put up their hand to help out. But we’d like to expand that group!

Volunteering provides increased opportunity for social connection, physical activity, and mental health and well-being. Being able to actively participate in a sporting club adds value and a sense of togetherness and community.

Learn new skills and share skills you’ve learnt whilst creating new friends and memories.

Your Club hosts many events during the year which require volunteers including –

  • Rum Runners during summer
  • Super Saturdays during winter
  • Mooloolaba Women’s Keelboat Regatta (May/June)
  • “Come Sailing” Days

Events which involve children will require that you have a Blue Card. There is no charge if you are linked to the Club you are volunteering with.  Click here for how to apply for a Blue Card.

Bar duties will require that you have a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.  You can obtain one by undertaking an online course like this one for just $19.50 – click here

Will you help out?

Training will be provided.

Below are the roles for which we currently require volunteers –

  • Bar Duties
  • Social Media
  • Website Creation & Updating
  • Boat Maintenance

Please email us if you are able to help.
