26 South Fleet Skippers

MYC will be Duty Club for the first of the Long Bay Series Races for the 2020/21 Sailing Season this Sunday, 11 October 2020.
Currently sailing conditions are looking very good with a constant 10-15 knots SE breeze all day and slight seas about 1m. Tide is also favorable – (Low tide 0.55m at 08:30; 0.6m at 9:30; High tide 1.54m at 15:38).
The most recent hydrographic survey of the Mooloolah River Bar from 25 Sep 2020 shows “at least depth of approximately 2 metres at LAT on the channels western edge indicated by the green sector of the port entry light” and “the waters south and west of the entrance channel shoal patch has depths generally at or in excess of the 2.5m design depth at LAT.”
Briefing and sign on by the skipper or boat representative is at 0900 in the MYC Clubroom. First warning not before 0955. Get your boat ready and crew together for what looks like may be one of the best sailing days so far this season.
We will have a Start Boat on station if we have sufficient numbers. We hope to see a good size fleet join us for a beautiful day on the water.
