We need some hands up for the MYC Sailing Committee
Will it be you ? Please read the following and then let Mark Coghlan know if you can help out.
Am I the right person ? Any MYC member who would like to get more involved in volunteering with MYC, in particular, sailing or the MYC Sailing Program and assisting the Rear-Commodore Sailing.
No previous experience or expertise required. Technical knowledge is not needed.
What can I help with ?
Attend monthly Sailing Committee meetings (schedule to be arranged with volunteers).
Assist Officer Of the Day (OOD) duties on a rostered or pre-arranged basis. These duties may include:
- Sign on and collection of sailing fees for WAMS and SAMS.
- Course selection for the day’s sailing.
- Recording finishing times and relaying them back to the sailing administrator.
- Post sailing presentations.
Preparation of the sailing documents is not a duty – these are done by the RC Sailing and sailing administrator.
Sailing is what we are all about so joining the Sailing Committee is a great way to become familiar with the club’s activities and members. And, its fun !
