Important Covid-19 Update for All MYC Members.

3 more new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Queensland over the last 24 hours.

All members and visitors to the club are reminded to comply with all personal health, hygiene and physical distancing regulations of the MYC COVID-19 Safe Plan. If unwell – DO NOT ATTEND.

Skippers and boat owners must comply with the MYC OPEN WATER FLEET RACING COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN. Particularly ensure all crew and visitors on your boat are well before boarding and have been identified to MYC prior to sailing in any MYC sailing event.

COVID-19 Documents

On 29 July 2020 the Commodore of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA), Paul Billingham, issued a COVID-19 update following the detection of 3 new cases of COVID-19 in the Potts Point area. 2 of these cases had visited CYCA over 3 nights.

  • Thursday 23 July 6.00pm – 7.30pm
  • Friday 24 July 3.30pm – 5.00pm
  • Sunday 26vJuly 4.00pm – 5.30pm

CYCA has been closed for 2 days for deep cleaning. A Health Warning has been issued by NSW Public Health advising anyone who attended the CYCA during those dates and times is asked to monitor for symptoms and seek testing if they develop. In addition NSW Health is again asking all people who live in or have visited the Potts Point area in the past two weeks to get tested if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 at all, even the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat.

As sailing club members often visit other clubs please ensure that if you or any visitors to our club have visited CYCA or Potts Point recently that you and they are complying with the NSW warning.
