Social: Island time with Stevo

I have been appointed the social director of the MYC so it will be my job to keep you all amused and entertained during this sailing year.

A few things planned being the opening for the new club premises which should be soon so keep up with the postings, movie nights with dinner, Barry Barnes is planning a cruise to the bay, the blessing of the fleet, the Xmas lights parade and the Island Time on November 11.

The venue is a 10 minute drive to Diddillibah. Camping is allowed overnight on the football field, showers, large hall with stage and full kitchen for your $10 ?? meals.

There will be two bands and a country singer.

It’s a parrot head party where the main band plays Jimmy Buffet songs. Jimmy Buffet is renowned for his sailing songs and his followers don’t mind having a good time with the many props that are part of the overall fun.

Tickets are $40 each and are selling fast.

Will be a good night and the owner of the property is an old MYC member.
