Hi All.
Your board have embraced technology and successfully completed a meeting via the ‘Zoom’ platform. From a personal perspective, it was a huge achievement for this technophobe.
Reading the agenda I viewed the attendees and was pleasantly surprised by the number of board members we have- there are 11. I had never thought of the number of members on the board, but after stopping to think about it realized everybody has a job and are an integral part to keeping our sails full and our ship on course. My immediate thought was how lucky we are to have such strong representation for ALL the sailing divisions, social and the forever ‘nuts and bolts’ of the organisation.
Talk about coming out of this Covid cloud strong. A power boat division will become part of our membership and is being organised by enthusiasts.
From this Saturday (16th May) we will be inviting members and guests to book tables to share take-away Rice Boi meals in our clubroom on a Friday 4pm til 9pm (from 22nd May), and Saturdays 2.30pm til 9pm. As numbers are restricted to ten persons at a time, bookings are essential. Please phone Gary on 0488 077 011 to book your table. The MYC bar will be open for these meals. Rice Boi have also arranged a special 10-person banquet so don’t miss out on this great deal.
Racing will be resuming as soon as restrictions allow and when confirmed by Australian Sailing.
Work has been carried out on the Elliotts, the RIB dock has been refurbished- many thanks to Sparkles and helpers!
Signage is ready to go onto the dock boxes this weekend to further promote our club.
So as you can see the MYC is in great shape. Watch this space.
Cheers Stevo
