Stevo’s Blog, February 28
Hi All.
Friday afternoon hopefully is the start of the Rum Runners Series after a long break due to weather and pontoon refurbishment. You may also have noticed that Whale One and co have moved to in front of the Wharf Tavern so the new set up will be some trial and error. Sailing has also been ‘light on’ ‘with the weather and sand movement at the river entrance with no new soundings in the past fortnight.
With that aside there is still a lot happening within the MYC.
Friday Night at 6.30pm directly after the Rum Runners Presentation, there is to be an Open Club Night. All are welcome especially new comer’s so bring a friend. The night is to inform members and friends of the many activities within the MYC and the various roles that are available to volunteers. There will also be a register for interested crew persons. Any new crew persons signing on will be given instructions on handling of sailing boats in meetings to be planned within the MYC in the near future.
A few of our topics for the Open Club Night; Women’s Sailing, Youth Sailing, Xmas Boat Parade, Winter Australasian Etchells, She Sails Open Women’s Regatta, Blue Water Races, Interclub Bay Challenge Series and of course the regular Wams and Sams.
The Mooloolaba Yacht Club is about involvement and your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Please indicate you interest in attending by RSVP to the MYC email. mooloolabayachtclub@bigpond.com
