Stevo’s Blog, May 23
Hello again.
Been under the bed blankets of late and now the sun is shining !! How long for ? Anybody’s guess. A SAMS race on this Sunday so prepare yourselves and crew. Looks like a good days sailing for a change. The calender has squeezed up somewhat with the postponement of some races and the busy factor with others. The Brian and Trent Anstee Memorial Race has been slotted in for the 23rd June which will also coordinate with our Blue Water race that has also been held over.
The MYC RIB is undergoing a pontoon refurb via Warren Myles for the upcoming Etchell Australasian Championship, 2nd weekend of June. Thankyou Warren. Volunteers number around 50 persons for this regatta so as the numbers are there, don’t be shy about still registering your interest.
The Super Saturday Elliotts will be starting up again after the Etchell Australasian Championship so a few things in the pipeline.
Also the patrons at the MYC Club room have been enjoying gorgeous sunsets and vistas over the water in the evenings. Come down and join in the goings on as only yachts persons seem to know. Bring your friends and anybody out there who reads this and would like to join us, we can sign you in for the evening.
Quite a few MYC boats heading north this winter, with some for the race weeks of Airlie Beach and Hammo. They are Kalina, Spartan and Galatea with others including Nautical Myles, Morphis and Calypso 2.
Until next week, have fun on the water. Stevo
