Women’s Team Members complete Keelboat Instructors Course

Over the weekend of March 23rd and 24th two of our Women’s Sailing Team members, Sarah Johnson and Karen Young, completed the Australian Sailing Keelboat Instructors course in Brisbane.

Sarah said “It was really good to be able to participate in the keelboat instructor course, thanks to a grant from She Sails. It will be great to be able to use the qualification to coach the next generation of sailors.”

She Sails is an initiative to encourage women and girls to get into sailing! Sailing is an exciting and rewarding sport with loads of options to have fun! The possibilities are endless! She Sails because she can. And you can too, so we hope you will join the Women’s Skills Development Sailing on alternate Saturday mornings in the club’s Elliot 6 boats on the Mooloolah River.
